Child Safety Standards

H2H Protocol ("H2H," "we," "us") is committed to protecting children and to keeping the H2H Protocol service free of child sexual abuse and exploitation. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse material ("CSAM") and for any conduct that sexualizes, endangers, or exploits a minor.

These Child Safety Standards explain our stance against child sexual abuse and exploitation ("CSAE"), the conduct we prohibit, how users can report concerns from within the app, how we respond, and how to reach our designated child-safety point of contact. They form part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Use, Community Guidelines, and Privacy Policy.

1. Minimum age and who H2H is for

• H2H Protocol is intended for adults. Users must be 18 years of age or older to use the app; the in-app age gate says so and the app is distributed to an adult (18+) audience on app stores.
• The app is not directed to children, is not designed for children, and does not knowingly permit accounts for anyone under the minimum age.
• H2H supports communication and broadcasts between strangers in nearby physical spaces, including features that involve emotional disclosure, direct messaging and voice with people not previously known to the user, SOS rooms with strangers who respond, and Free Match. These features are not appropriate for children.
• If we learn that a user is under the minimum age, we remove their access.

2. Prohibited content and conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on H2H Protocol. Engaging in any of them results in immediate action, up to permanent removal from the service, and may be reported to law-enforcement or child-protection authorities:

• Creating, sharing, requesting, soliciting, or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, including drawn, animated, or computer-generated depictions.
• Grooming — building a relationship or trust with a minor in order to facilitate sexual contact, sexual content, or exploitation.
• Sextortion, sexual solicitation, or sexualized communication directed at a minor.
• Child trafficking, or advertising, facilitating, or arranging the sexual exploitation of a minor.
• Sharing the personal or identifying information of a minor for the purpose of exploitation or endangerment.

No exceptions. These prohibitions apply to everyone who uses H2H Protocol, everywhere the app is available, regardless of intent or framing.

3. How to report a child safety concern

We provide multiple ways to report CSAE concerns and we encourage users to report immediately:

3.1 In-app reporting and blocking

Every conversation in H2H lets you report and block the other participant, and every SOS room lets you report a member and hide the room. Reporting a person flags the interaction for our safety review, and blocking immediately stops further contact and messages from that person.

3.2 Direct contact

You can contact our designated child-safety point of contact at any time (see Section 6). Please include as much detail as you safely can so we can act quickly.

3.3 Emergencies

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services or law-enforcement authority first.

4. How we respond

When we receive a credible report of CSAE, or otherwise become aware of CSAM in connection with the service, we act promptly. Our response includes:

• Reviewing the report through our safety process.
• Removing offending content where it is within our control, and disabling and banning the responsible account(s) from the service.
• Preserving available related information, as permitted by law, to support investigation.
• Reporting CSAM to the appropriate authorities, including the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and/or the competent national or regional authority, as required by applicable law.

5. Privacy, encryption, and our safety model

H2H Protocol is a nearby-discovery messenger: connections are made directly between nearby devices over Bluetooth Low Energy, and private messages are protected with strong, device-bound cryptography, so we cannot read the content of users' private conversations. SOS is the exception: an SOS alert is a public call for help and an SOS room is a group conversation whose cloud copies we can read and act on (Privacy Policy § 1.10). Because of this design, our child-safety model relies on:

• Strong, always-available user reporting and blocking tools (Section 3).
• Prompt action on every credible report we receive (Section 4).
• Account- and device-level enforcement against offenders.
• Cooperation with law enforcement and child-protection authorities.

Encryption protects ordinary users' privacy; it does not shield offenders. We will use every lawful means available to us to act on reports and to support investigations into the sexual abuse or exploitation of children.

7. Legal compliance

H2H Protocol complies with applicable child-safety laws in the jurisdictions where it operates, and reports child sexual abuse material to regional and national authorities as required by law. We cooperate with valid legal requests relating to child safety.

8. Changes to these standards

We may update these Child Safety Standards from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version at the same public URL and revise the "Last updated" date below.
